The first CSA pick up of the 2019 season is today! We’re very excited to start seeing our members on a weekly basis and sharing the delicious food we’ve been growing. In this week’s share you can expect:
- garlic scapes
Spring is all about greens. To help you make use of every single bit of green in this week’s share, here’s a recipe for carrot top gremolata (kinda like pesto):
Carrot Top Gremolata Ingredients:
2/3 cup finely chopped carrot tops
¼ tsp salt
2 garlic cloves (or 1 garlic scape) finely chopped
1 tablespoon finely grated lemon zest
2 teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil
- Combine tops with garlic, lemon zest, oil, and salt in a small bowl.
- Add gremolata to roasted carrots or other sweet roasted vegetables.
