CSA Week 16 (2019)

This week the weather and your veggies are taking a turn towards fall. In this week’s share you can expect:

  • Lettuce
  • Curly Endive
  • Parsley
  • Scallions
  • Carrots
  • Tomatoes
  • Peppers
  • Onions
  • Garlic
  • Acorn Squash or Melon

Endive Salad Ingredients

  • 1 head curly endive, chopped
  • 1/2 pear or apple, sliced
  • 1/2 cup toasted walnuts
  • 1/2 cup goat cheese

For dressing:

  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp balsamic or red wine vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste


Endive seems a little bitter at first, but if you dress it in citrus and top it with rich and sweet flavors like nuts, fruit and cheese- it’s pretty darn delicious.

  1. Pour dressing ingredients over chopped endive in a large salad bowl
  2. Top with pear/apple, walnuts, and goat cheese
